Install working versions of pamguard check the software -> pamguard section for most updated recommendations
- If using a new version, set the available ram Navigate to C:, Installed Software Folder, Pamguard, select version you are using, navigate to the Configuration settings file types (Pamguard.l4j.ini), open and change top two -Xms and -Xmx to 2048m and 4096m respectively * add screenshot
Check array files (in configuration folder), sound acquisition settings, etc.
Set database and binary folders/pathways
Set recordings naming convention, recording length, and recording pathway if data storage not setup yet, go to ‘SATAs and Synology’ section, then complete this step
Setup and check GPS NMEA connection and make sure it works if GPS connection not configured, go to ‘GPS NMEA Connection’ section, then complete this step
Add and check plugins **in pamguard software folder
Logger Form Checks: Add in all acoustic technicians for the cruise, add cruise number and any necessary details, alter species code (order and if available) based on location and project additional info from Annamaria/NEFSC
