EDM Program Team
The EDM Program is an executive-supported team with a deep knowledgebase of data governance and data management. The team excels at working on multiple efforts at once, dedicated to improving data stewardship, data management, and ultimately science for NOAA Fisheries. Furthermore, the EDM Program’s well-established, collaborative relationship across the FMCs, NOAA writ large, FIS, external partners like the FINs (Fishery Information Network), and OCIO uniquely positions the program to drive enterprise-wide data management strategies.

The Fisheries Information System program is a state-regional-federal partnership supporting sound, science-based fisheries management.
Fisheries Data Governance Committee (FDGC)
The purpose of the FDGC is to enable NOAA Fisheries to maximize the value of its data assets through sound and coordinated data governance and management practices.
